The product leaves my skin too oily, what can I change, or why is this happening?Updated 5 months ago

If you're new to oil-based products, you may experience a transition period where your skin adjusts its oil production. This is especially common if you're used to using products that strip your skin and are alcohol-based.

Our moisturizers are non-aqueous, which means they don't contain water or fillers. So, a little goes a long way. Waterless moisturizers are really different from mainstream moisturizers. The recommended amount is estimated and should be enough for your entire face, throat, and décolleté. Start with half the recommended amount; you can always apply more. Ensure skin is damp (almost saturated with our facial mist or water) before using the moisturizer. Try patting or pressing it into your skin instead of rubbing it. This helps seal moisture into your skin instead of sitting on top of the skin.

A good indicator of whether you are using the correct amount for your skin is waiting 5 minutes after finishing your last step and then blotting your skin with a tissue. Don't rub, please; just blot. If you have the leftover product on your skin, the tissue will pick it up. The next time, use just slightly less until you are using the amount your skin can and will "drink up" within five minutes after application.
